OVERVIEW

BOI Magazine, which began in 2000, is a four-color, glossy BI weekly free publication covering Chicago’s GLBT community, with a circulation of 20,000 copies. BOI covers music, nightlife, fashion, dining, film, travel, health, fitness and live theatre. The magazine also contains a unique directory of information about local dining and nightlife options as well as listings for upcoming entertainment, social, political, and cultural events.


DISTRIBUTION

BOI Magazine has a controlled distribution of over 300 locations, most of which are in clubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, bookstores, gyms, and retail establishments.  Our distribution encompasses the greater Chicagoland area, with a heavy concentration in highly populated GLBT areas and surrounding suburbs as well as select locations in Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. 


INTERNET ADVERTISING

boimagazine.com is a cost effective way of reaching an additional audience. The slick and innovative design features the current issue of BOI, additional content from interviews and a surplus of pictures. The website allows access to BOI Magazine’s archived issues.


The BOI e-Blast is another advertising medium, which is sent to over 25,000 e-mail subscribers on a bi-weekly basis.  The BOI e-Blast contains a two week calendar of events, teaser photos and spotlights on where to go, which are featured in the current issue of BOI Magazine with a link to boimagazine.com.
