Mayan Palace

Chicago is filled
with numerous authentic Mexican restaurants that collectively
satisfy the hunger of diners who realize that south-of-the-border
cuisine is not adequately represented by Taco Bell eateries.
Of the many restaurants that offer enchiladas, burritos, and
other Mexican staples, one of the very best is Mayan Palace located
in Lincoln Park on North Halsted Street.
Offering
extremely affordable prices in a comfortably cozy storefront
location adorned with authentic Mexican art, Mayan Palace is
a fantastic sit-down casual restaurant with a large and loyal
following. While the menu is not too dissimilar from most other
Mexican restaurants, the flavor and freshness of what comes out
of the kitchen truly elevates this place above its competitors.
The consistent delivery of tasty high-quality fare is truly
impressive and is a primary reason for Mayan Palace's popularity.
The other two
primary reasons for the restaurant's popularity: Margaritas and
service. Claiming to have the "World's Best Margaritas,"
the selection of tequila-based concoctions
on the menu is wide and interesting, but most important to many,
they are deliciously strong! And on Tuesdays and Thursdays the
House Margaritas are even better they're at _-price. As for
service, the staff is refreshingly attentive. Whether it's taking
your order correctly and with a pleasant smile or simply keeping
your water glass refilled, Mayan Palace makes you feel like you
are dining at a much costlier, higher-end establishment
When it comes
right down to it, Mayan Palace does it right on every level.
And given the great prices that stare up at you from the menu,
the value of what you get there is extraordinary.
