When it comes to ringing in the New Year, there are lots of fun and festive options to choose from in Chicago. Here's a sample of what's happening.

"BOOM BOOM ROOM" Music-101 & Clubline Magazine brings in the new year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (151 E. Wacker Dr.) with DJs Michael Serafini, Andre Harris and Frank Solano. $199 All Access includes an open bar (top shelf liquor) and premium appetizers. $135 General Admission includes an open bar (premium liquor) and appetizers. 9pm-2am.

CIRCUIT NIGHT CLUB DJs Teri Bristol & Dani B. and hostesses Veronica Zaid & Paula Sinclaire bring in the new year with a Champagne toast as well as a money filled balloon drop and confetti blast. There's also a special performance by Cyon Flare. $30 in advance ($15 w/ Circuit Card) or $50 at the door ($25). 8pm-4am.

COCKTAIL Not a whole lot of fuss here: regular prices for drinks, the very hot Spank Go-Go Boys and DJ Freddie Bain spinning his house music magic. No cover charge. 7pm-2am.

CORNELIA'S Regular menu from 5:30pm-9pm. NYE Bash from 9pm-2am for $99 includes an extensive menu, wine, champagne, party favors, and live entertainment by Paul Marinaro and Tom Hope

CREW A benefit for Howard Brown Community Center in which $40 in advance ($50 door) gets you an appetizer buffet (8pm-10pm) and complimentary domestic beers, wines, and well drinks. Champagne toast at midnight along with a raffle for cash, prizes, and a VIP Super Bowl party.

HAMBURGER MARY'S / MARY'S ATTIC Both floors will be open with a bountiful food buffet, party favors, a complimentary first drink, and a midnight Champagne toast, all for $25. DJ Plez provides the musical soundscape.

HUNTERS Appetizer buffet, party favors, Champagne toast @ midnight, and the one and only DJ Laura B. $10 in advance/$15 at the door. 8pm-4am.

HYDRATE Pre-party @ 8pm features a hosted bar and an appetizer buffet provided by Halsted's Bar & Grill. Dance party w/ DJ Jeanette includes a midnight Champagne toast & simulcast celebrations with NYC (11pm), Phoenix (1am) and Los Angeles (2am). $50 for Platinum Pass w/ In & Out Priviledges; $30 for VIP Ticket. Open late until 4am.

JACKHAMMER "BUTTS OUT 2008 PARTY" celebrating the last day to smoke in Chicago's public places. Complimentary jock straps for the first 100 who will wear them. Cash balloon drop at midnight. Hosted by Chanel Exotique w/ DJ Man and Chicago Beef dancers. Open late until 4am.

MINIBAR A $20 ticket provides for party favors, a Champagne toast, and the music of DJ Phil Da Beatz.

ROSCOE'S Hors d'ouevres, party favors, complimentary coat check, $12 Stoli Pink Lemonade pitchers and a balloon drop with $2,000 in cash and prizes at midnight. $25 cover. 8pm-2am.

SIDETRACK "New Year's Eve On The Isle of Sidetrack" is the theme. $20 in advance with a portion of the proceeds going to Equality Illinois. 7pm-2am.

SPIN NIGHTCLUB $20 cover gets you hors d'oeuvres & a Champagne toast @ midnight. A Video Countdown w/ VJ Terp in the front room and DJ Riley York in back. 8pm-2am.
