Where has the time gone? It seems that I just recovered from my New Years Eve hangover! Over the past year BOI Magazine has brought you the finest in advertising, editorial and City events. We pledge to do that again in 2007.
Magazine has brought you the finest in advertising, editorial and City events. We pledge to do that again in 2007.
This year the city has seen some monumental events and made substantial strides in LGBT rights and visibility. The Gay Games alone was an enormous shot in the arm not only for the City of Chicago, but our community as well. People all over the world had the opportunity to see Chicago. Some traveled here and some watched on television, but all the people that saw our city, with smiling faces, proud to be Chicagoans and most of all proud of who we are.
Through the good and the bad, we came together as a community. This shows the world that we as human beings can endure and rise up. When Hurricane Katrina hit, the Chicago LGBT Community was the first to have a benefit to help the gay community of New Orleans. We pulled together and we were proud of who we are.
I hope that the New Year will eventful and prosperous for each and every one of you, you deserve it. The BOI Staff thanks our readers, writers, photographers, delivery people, and contributors, but most of all our advertisers and their customers that keep the magazine going. I am proud to be a part of BOI Magazine and to be a part of something that makes this city unique.
In 2007, be safe, be happy and most of all, be proud of who you are.
God Bless,
Tim McCanless
