MR. MAGORIUM'S WONDER EMPORIUM This is the story of a most wonderful toy store, that's owned by the 243-year-old Mr. Magorium. The retailer comes under new management (and no, this is not about Toy 'R Us. Stars Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman.

ENCHANTED This is a Disney musical comedy where live action and animation collide. There is a fairy princess, and evil queen, and Dr. McDreamy. Stars Susan Sarandon, Amy Adams, and Patrick Dempsey (from Grey's Anatomy).

THIS CHRISTMAS Mekhi Phifer, Chris Brown & Regina King star in this multi-generational, multi-cultural Christmastime drama centered around a family's first holiday together in four years.

THE MIST This is a Stephen King tale about a freak storm that unleashes a species of blood-thirsty creatures on a small town, where a small band of citizens hole-up in a supermarket and fight for their lives. No word yet as to whether Tom Skilling accurately predicted the storm or if this is scarier than a trip to the Jewel in Wicker Park.

CASSANDRA'S DREAM This latest Woody Allen's directorial effort is about two brothers (Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor) in south London and their relationship with a young woman who leads them into crime. Will McGregor give us full frontal nudity again and will Farrell follow suit? We hear he's got a really big one!

FLAWLESS A janitor in London (Michael Caine) convinces an American executive (Demi Moore) to help him steal diamonds from their employer in this 1960s crime drama. Not to be confused with the story of how Ashton stole Demi away from Bruce.

LEATHERHEADS George Clooney (the only E.R. alum with a meaningful movie career) directs and stars in this romantic comedy set in the world of 1920s professional football. Also stars the queen of romantic comedies, Renee Zelleweger, and the tall guy from The Office television series, John Krasinski.

THE GOLDEN COMPASS In this adaptation of the Philip Pullman fantasy novel, a young girl living in a parallel universe journeys to save kidnapped children from a group called The Gobblers. Stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig (the current James Bond).

I AM LEGEND An incurable man-made virus hits NYC and Will Smith's character is seemingly the only human survivor in the city. It's just him and the rats, and they have to battle The Infected, mutant victims of the plague that watch his every move.

ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS This children's tale,is revived Jason Lee (from My Name is Earl on TV) starring as their famous "handler" Dave.

THE BUCKET LIST Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star as terminally ill escapees from a cancer ward. Don't worry, this is billed as drama/comedy directed by Rob Reiner, so there will be some laughs.

SWEENY TODD Based on the hit Broadway musical this film is another Johnny Depp/Tim Burton collaboration. It also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, and Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat).

CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR Director Mike Nichols guides a star studded, multiple Oscared cast (Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Philip Seymour Hoffman) in this political tale about covert dealings in Afghanistan during their war with the Soviets.

THE GREAT DEBATERS Set in 1935, this true story is about a small Texas college debate team that challenges Harvard in the national championship. Another well-Oscared cast here with Denzel Washington and Forrest Whitaker.

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM It's kind of unusual to have a holiday action movie of this magnitude, but young male adults need a reason to venture to the cineplex too.
