Bret Grafton is fast becoming an innovative voice in the Chicago fashion and fine art community where his editorial style is as engaging as it is unexpected. Most recently his work appeared in the group exhibition, "The Eye Candy Show", which he also co-curated. It's unusual for an art gallery to garner such amazing attention with hundreds of people attending the opening and closing, but the truly excellent work brought out art lovers from all over the city. Boi Magazine's Halloween cover is a piece from Bret's most current body of work. This mixed media photograph is entitled "Jack of Hearts" and was borrowed from Art Smith's permanent collection to appear at the "Eye Candy Show" with the other works of Bret's new vision. Other works from this same collection will be appearing at "His Stuff" and "Scout" in Andersonville in November.

As a commercial photographer as well as a fine artist, Bret is constantly refining his unorthodox style to please the most discerning of clients. Architects who want buildings with soul, models needing fashion photography that still illuminate their personalities, and designers who want their products to leap off the page make Bret Grafton their visual artist. Bret is also a creative voice in the Chicago film community, having produced and contributed to a number of independent film projects, including writing and directing a short film to appear at festivals in 2006. Bret's artistry has been inspired by too many great writers to number, fantastic dreams to count, and beloved people too precious to have their praises sung on mere sheets of paper.
