BOI asked a few of the local bois in Wicker Park who've lived in the area a while to answer a few questions burning questions

Kevin, 34, single, grad student, has lived in Wicker Park for 10 years.

Best Place To Grab a Beer: The Northside on Damen. It can be a bit hetero at times, but folks for the most part are cool.
Best Date Place: I'm going to go with Bongo Room for late breakfast during the week. The food is good and there's a lot less pressure with a breakfast/brunch date than a traditional dinner date.
Best Place for Late Night Trick Pick- Up: Actually Flash Taco ain't bad. All the guys who've been playin' it straight all night come in there a tad bit drunk, fairly horny and with their defenses down. It's actually kinda easy pickin's. I'm not sure if I want you to divulge that, because I feel like it's where I keep my secret stash of boys.
Best Late Night Grub: Flash Taco, especially if I'm able to bring home take-out, if you know what I mean.
Essential Wicker Park Transportation Equipment: Most definitely a Zoned Parking Permit. That's like gold around here.
Biggest Gripe About Wicker Park: The "Jewel from Hell" over on Ashland and Division. Oh my God, that place is the worst!
Biggest Change You've Noticed About the Neighborhood: The traffic has gotten to be out of control, but with th increased number of people living here and hanging out here, at least it's easier to get a taxi cab.

Bobby, 28, single, graphic artists, has lived in Wicker Park for 5 years.

Best Place To Grab a Beer: The Pontiac on Damen in the summer.
Best Date Place: Wow, I don't really go on dates. Umm, how about Papajin, the Chinese place on Milwaukee. I really like their food.
Best Place for Late Night Trick Pick- Up: I've had quite a bit of success just hanging around Wicker Park, you know the actual park over there on Schiller. It's very cruisy if you know what you're doing..
Best Late Night Grub: I go over to La Pasidita on Ashland for a steak burrito with cheese. Not the restaurant, but the yellow takeout shack of a place.
Essential Wicker Park Transportation Equipment: You gotta have a bike and a good lock.
Biggest Gripe About Wicker Park: They got rid of the Burger King on Milwaukee. And oh yeah we've got the "Jewel from Hell!"
Biggest Change You've Noticed About the Neighborhood: The recent influx of fake hipsters. Us real hipsters are bad enough, but the Lincoln Park wanna-bes are just the worst.

Randy, 30, partnered, banker, has lived in Wicker Park for 6 years.

Best Place To Grab a Beer: Smoke Daddy, because if I'm having a beer most likely there are some BBQ ribs around.
Best Date Place: I've been with my boyfriend for 4 years now, so a date for us is ordering delivery.
Best Place for Late Night Trick Pick- Up: You're not going to print my real name, right? Well, there are quite a few guys on Manhunt who live here in Wicker Park. And well, since my boyfriend is a flight attendant, sometimes I need to have certain needs met while he is away. Use Randy as my name.
Best Late Night Grub: The sausage sandwich at the Hollywood Grill on the corner of North Avenue and Ashland.
Essential Wicker Park Transportation Equipment: A CTA pass. Driving around here is crazy!
Biggest Gripe About Wicker Park: The traffic really is that bad. And have you heard about our Jewel.
Biggest Change You've Noticed About the Neighborhood: The increased property values and rents has resulted in the neighborhood losing a bit of its artistic edginess. That said, it's still the coolest neighborhood in the city to live in.
