The big happening this month is the PINK PARTY, an event for members of the LGBT community and their friends with hostess Miss Foozie and DJ Oskar. Taking place on Saturday, September 22, 6:30 pm-11:30pm, at the MCA Warehouse (1747 W. Hubbard), this swank dance club & lounge celebration benefits the Center on Halsted. The after-party takes place at CIRCUIT NIGHTCLUB with legendary superstar DJ Junior Vasquez spinning his musical magic until 5am.

On Saturday, September 15, the friskiness continues as JACKHAMMER hosts its monthly "Underwear Party". On the same night two doors away, there's a triple header at TOUCHÉ: a "Foot Friends Party" 6pm-10pm; "Hot Ash Cigar Smoker" @ 10pm; and "Gear Fetish Night" for those who get excited by leather, rubber, boots, uniforms, and sports gear.

There will be even more house music than usual in the city this weekend with the "History of House Music Concert & Dance Party" at the CONGRESS THEATER on Saturday, September 15 @ 7pm. The event features true pioneers and superstars of the genre, including Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ron Carroll, Maurice Joshua, Shawn Christopher, Lego, Roy Davis, Jr., Fast Eddie, and Steve "Silk" Hurley. That night at SMART BAR, the one and only Kaskade, who was inspired by many of the legends who'll be at the Congress, demonstrates his modern day greatness.

The A/X - ARMANI EXCHANGE "Chicago DJ Series" continues with Saturday afternoon live in-store DJ sets, 2pm-8pm on September 15 (DJ Ron G) and September 22 (DJ Teri Bristol).

OTDL has been retired and so now Clubhouse & Smooth Productions are launching "Penthouse Sundays" at CLUB 720 on Sunday nights, 11pm-4am, featuring DJs Anton & Kenae spinning House, Hip-Hop, and Reggaeton. The Grand Opening is September 16 with a VIP Reception @ 11pm. On Monday, September 17, House of Tut and Clubhouse present "Turn-A-Bout: Show & Dance Party" at CIRCUIT. The party starts at 10pm with the show midnight.

Que Pasa?
The monthly "Amigo" party at CIRCUIT brings back Mexico City DJ Roei Rodriquez on Saturday, September 15. The club's weekly Latin nights continue to be packed: "Tardeada (T-Dance)" on Sundays with DJs Fast Freddy & Alex Perez and host Veronica Zaid; and "La Noche Loca" on Thursdays featuring Miss Ketty's Latina Review.

Grab your boots and hat and rush to the "Cowboy Rage" every Friday night at CLUB CHESTERFIELD with the midnight drag show featuring Yamileth and El Famoso Pancho. Every Sunday night this southside Latin gay bar serves up tasty drink specials with DJ Javier spinning the latest cumbia, salsa, and meringue music.

Move & Groove --
COCKTAIL
keeps packing them in to view the Spank Go-Go Boys (five nights a week) and to hear DJs Michael Serafini (Tuesdays), Timmy Loop (Thursdays), Freddie Bain (Fridays), Matt Boss & Dhanna (Saturdays), and Pete Augusta (Sundays). Across the street and down a block at GENTRY ON HALSTED, the DJ line-up includes Jim Dezetal (Wednesdays), AJ Dubbz (Fridays) and IRA (Saturdays).

Monday nights continue to be ruled by "Boom Boom Room" at GREEN DOLPHIN STREET. On September 17 DJ Frique joins resident DJs Michael Serafini, Diz, Uncle Milty and JustJoey while the Dean of Deep House, Marquess Wyatt of Los Angeles, makes a visit on September 24.

In Lakeview, DJ Plez supplies a groovy house beat to eat and drink by during "Pride Night" @ CESAR'S ON BROADWAY. The music starts up at 7pm.

HYDRATE's impressive September line-up includes resident DJ Greg Drescher on Thursdays and with guest appearances by Miami's Tracy Young (September 14), L.A. tribal master Paulo (September 15), and DJ Brett Henrichsen (September 22).

Weekends at
CHARLIE'S features two types of dance floor maneuvering: country line dancing and two-steppin early in the evening, followed by hi-NRG bumping and grinding with DJ LuLu for the after-hours party. Serious dancing on the far northside can be done at JACKHAMMER on Wednesdays - Saturdays.

Other nightspots featuring DJs includes MINIBAR|WINEBAR with DJ Oskar on Fridays and Sundays and BOBBY LOVES on Saturdays with DJ TimA. Out in the suburbs, HUNTERS has DJ Ron G on Wednesdays and DJ Laura B on Saturdays. Down in the south burbs, THE EDGE BAR has DJ Rockin' RC on Fridays and DJ Pervy on Saturdays.

In Andersonville, MARY'S ATTIC has fast become a festive nightspot on weekends with DJ Shoshanna's eclectic mix on Fridays and DJ Boom's dance sets on Saturdays. Across the street is @MOSPHERE with DJ Timmy Loop and male strippers on Saturdays.

In South Andersonville, real leather men gather at THE EAGLE for lots of fun and very few games. MAN'S COUNTRY packs them in on weekends for the all-nude stripper shows: Friday, September 14 w/ Kevin, Ricky Sinz, Jimmy D and Milan; Saturday, September 15 w/ Jovanni, Don Juan,AJ and Sean Taylor; Friday, September 21 w/ Kurtis, Giorgio, Dimitri and Valentine; and Saturday, September 22 w/ Martin, Marlone, and Maddux.

Boystown Central & Beyond -
STEAMWORKS
, the full-service all-male club, gym, and sauna, features a "Lights Out" party every Thursday night (4pm-4am) and DJ Dick serving up sexy pulsating beats during the after-hours on Friday and Saturday nights. On Wednesday, September 26, don't miss the "Bears, Bath & Beyond" play party for bears and their admirers, 6pm-12 midnight. OK, they don't take it all off, but the strippers at LUCKY HORSESHOE do tantalize on a nightly basis.

The bears and cubs are back on Halsted Street on Friday, September 21, for the
"BEAR-y Special Shower Contest" at SPIN. Featuring Go-Go Bears and other surprises, the contest starts at Midnight. "The Ear-Rotic House/Hip-Hop/Reggae Party" with DJ Stony takes place on successive Saturdays, September 15 & 22. On Sunday, September 23, ROSCOE'S is having a "Reba McEntire CD Release Party and Giveaway." The fun begins at 5pm during "Male Call," which of course is hosted by Miss Foozie.

The video bar SIDETRACK offers up their legendary frozen slushy drink concoctions during "Showtunes" night on Mondays (8pm-2am), "Comedy" night on Thursdays (8pm-2am) and "Hi-NRG" night on Saturdays (9pm-3am). Whether looking for a hook-up or a friendly conversation, LITTLE JIM'S and BUCK'S SALOON are two Boystown institutions not to be missed. Further south in the heart of trendy Lincoln Park, the MANHANDLER SALOON is a delightfully fun undercover oasis.

For those working, shopping, or residing downtown THE SECOND STORY BAR and GENTRY ON STATE are popular options. Both spots boast large crowds on Fridays for TGIF cocktails. As the nights progress Second Story transforms into a neighborhood bar while Gentry is more of a destination for folks coming from near or far to enjoy the high quality cabaret acts that are presented. Speaking of cabaret acts, you can find fantastic shows at DAVENPORT'S in Wicker Park and 3160 in Lakeview.

As Loyola and Northwestern students return to school, there are several places that should experience a youthful surge of energy this month. Northside neighborhood bars BIG CHICKS and GRANVILLE ANVIL will be vigilantly checking IDs given their close proximities to the campuses. And expect lots of drama majors and their "girlfriends" to head toward the alternative atmosphere at BERLIN on Fridays for "Cosmix" with DJ Greg Haus and on Saturdays for "Twisted" with DJs Larissa and Chester.

At KIT KAT LOUNGE & SUPPER CLUB the alcohol flows freely and cheaply with _-price martinis on Sundays and Tuesdays.
