What happens
when you mix one part night-on-the-town, two parts Started in 2004,
BAR AIDS is an amazing philanthropic evening in the fight against
HIV/AIDS. This year it has been revamped and designed as an
Modeled after the very successful Dining Out for Life program, BAR AIDS particpants will donate a portion of their August 23rd sales proceeds to AIDSCARE, a 15-year-old Chicago non-profit organization helping children, women and men living with HIV/AIDS. Through their housing, care, and support services AIDSCARE assists its residents in achieving a higher quality of life. Not just content with providing physical housing, AIDSCARE strives to provide a real home to the many folks it serves. Boi Magazine is proud to be a headline sponsor of BAR AIDS and is an enthusiastic supporter of the work that AIDSCARE is doing in the city. So on the night of Thursday August 23, 2007, anyone who is at least 21 years old is encouraged to patronize one of the participating BAR AIDS bars listed below. Pick a place and be sure to invite your friends,
family members, and co-workers to join you in a night of fun
and fundraising and possibly even go home a winner. At each
BAR AIDS participating location, raffle tickets will be sold
for chances to win one of several Roundtrip Travel Certificates.
Each Certificate is good for round-trip coach class travel for
two within the continental U.S., Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the
Caribbean on Delta Airlines. For more information
about BAR AIDS, including what volunteer opportunities exist
for that night, call 773.935.4663 or go to the website: 2007 BAR AIDS
