I remember several years ago before I left Chicago, there was a new star burning on the horizon. Well, I have watched that star burn brighter and brighter as the years have gone by and the energy that she exudes and the presence that she commands when she enters a room is nothing less than a Diva is worthy of. Miss Foozy has gained the respect and popularity of the GLBT community over the past several years and I now have the pleasure to talk to the driving force that makes this character so loveable.

What inspired you to start doing drag as a form of entertainment?
Drag was not something I wanted to do it just happen. I decided to have a birthday party and a few friends of my helped me organize it.
The day of my party, I walked into the bar, and one of my friends pulled me into the back of the bar and said for fun lets dress you up, at first I said NO, than I said let's do it, it's my BIRTHDAY!
So... I did, and Miss Foozie was borHow long have you been doing drag?
Before I was drag, I was a part time professional clown doing private events for well-known companies and than decided to move to Chicago, where Miss Foozie was born, she is now 8 years old.

So, you were a real Clown? How did that come about?
Yes! It's true I went to clown school. I needed extra money and so I thought, I love to entertain people, and make than laugh, so why not be a clown.

How do you incorporate being a professional Clown with being a Female Impersonator?
My opinion... both are the same, when you are putting on the make-up you are the same person and yet you are a character that you have created, you do the same for both, you are a entertainer to the public and your there to make than laugh. It's all about fun!

Where would you like to take the Miss Foozie character in the future?
I would like to travel and become more involved in the community and not to mention, I would also like to do a little more in the entertainment Industry, since Miss Foozie is a character, she needs more exposure. Miss Foozie is becoming an icon for the next generations to come in the community and in the world. Who would of thought that dressing up for a joke for a party would become my future. I am looking at getting my own Show together and making some more special appearance in movies and all over the world. It's funny, it's all happening to me, you just never know.

What else would you like our readers to know?
Enjoy your life, its short, be kind to one another. It only takes one smile and you can make the biggest difference, especially when it comes from your heart, not everyone is going to like me and this is true, but that's what happens in the world. I don't understand why even in the gay community we still have hate, life goes fast, and so do friends but some friends are for life and some are for the moment, but it would be great to have them for life.
