New things are
always popping up and opening in Andersonville. Here are three
newcomers you should take note of.
Cattle Call
GLBT nightlife and entertainment options in Andersonville have
been growing steadily over the years and the newest kid on the
block is Cattle Call. A self-described dance and party bar, the
music will include today's hottest new and classic country, pop,
retro and dance. They are also presenting their weekly "Cattle
Call Revue" featuring Angeliqué Munro and Ashley
Morgan.

George's Ice Cream
and Sweets
You can never have too many options for ice cream and with the
start of the summer weather, the recent opening George's Ice
Cream and Sweets came just in the nick of time. Serving over
30 flavors of ice cream, chances are quite good that a specialty
sundae, milkshake, malt, or soda can be made to perfectly satisfy
your craving and taste buds. Don't want ice cream? Not to worry
as you'll still be able to take care of your sweet tooth thanks
to the selection of pastries, cakes, cupcakes, and crepes. Have
a savory tooth instead? Again no problem since George's also
has homemade paninis and spanakopitas. And for those who want
to sit and stay awhile inside, there's free WiFi.

Andersonville Farmers Market
The Andersonville

organizations, and residents, has announced that the Andersonville
Farmers Market will start up the last week of June on Wednesdays.
The highlight of the market will be an array of local, sustainably
grown produce and will feature organically-produced, free range
meats; herbs, spices and vinegar; honey, cheese and wine; fresh
flowers; and yarn and fiber. The market will also showcase chef
demonstrations and prepared food from local restaurants, goods
from select Andersonville stores and artisans, demonstrations
on assorted techniques for "going green," and weekly
entertainment for kids and grown-ups alike.
