Ricky Sinz, the Chicago-based porn star and one of the city's most popular stripper go-go boys, is a very busy man. In addition to being a lifetime exclusive model for Raging Stallion studios (he won two Grabby Awards last year for his performance in Grunts), he's co-owner of www.HoleAndAHeartbeat.com and speaks the honest truth on his blog at www.rickysinz.blogspot.com. The workaholic in now set to take on a new challenge: reinvigorating Chicago's nightlife "scene".as a party promoter and as a DJ.

Ricky, what's your take on the Chicago nightlife scene?
The Chicago club scene used to be one of the best scenes worldwide back in the late 90s and early 2000s. But things changed: rap and hip-hop came in and radically changed things, for the worst in my opinion. There are promoters and DJs in Chicago that are trying to revive the scene, but it's hard.

So how are you trying to change things?
I think in this day and age people want more choices and more for their money. In my line of work I travel around the world and have been involved with fantastic dance party events based on some amazingly fun concepts. Plus, I used to DJ here in Chicago and other cities. So with my knowledge and experience I plan on creating a new scene in the city that hopefully people will enjoy. For the first event I have partnered with Jackhammer for the "FORSAKEN" event on Saturday, May 23.

What can people expect who attend this event?
You can expect great house music all night long. We're flying DJ Andre Shannon in from California and this is also my comeback as a DJ. I'm gonna remind everyone what Chicago house is all about.

For entertainment, we're bringing in lots of heavy hitters from the adult film world to perform and sign autographs and we'll also have some of the hottest strippers dancing on stage. Did I mention the hottest play party around will be going on in The Hole at Jackhamme?

Now, you're not just doing this event to line your own pockets.
No. Proceeds from the night are going to TPAN, an amazing organization that offers services that are crucial to the health and well being of our community.

Ricky has the recession affected the porn industry?
I think it has. I've seen a lot of powerhouse studios cutting back on budgets and filming less frequently. With all the free porn sites, bootlegging, and amateur stuff, the industry is taking a hit. Porn is a luxury item these days so if it comes down to paying to keep the gas on or buying a DVD, the gas bill wins.

What can we expect from you in the future?
I am continuing to expand my network of live porn sites with over 500 models at www.rickysinzxxxlive.com. and I'm also starting to set up tour and travel dates for this summer. My business partner and I have been shooting a lot of content for our website "Hole and a Heartbeat" and I have some projects coming up with Raging Stallion. We'll begin filming our major movie mid-summer so I'm pretty excited about that.

What about the DJing?
I'm talking to several clubs in California, Canada, and Madrid about DJ residencies and I'll soon start work on a series of mix CDs. DJing is one thing that I really miss. As you can see I'm pretty busy but in this type of economy you need to be as diverse as possible and try new things. I don't have more time for new projects, but knowing me I'll take on more. If I'm not working 20 hours a day I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

"FORSAKEN" on Saturday, May 23, @ Jackhammer will kick off a series of monthly events that will showcase Ricky's DJing skillz and act as a fundraiser for TPAN. Yours truly and Chicago's own Sal-E, will be hosting this event. If you can't make it, be sure to look up Ricky's website and tell him Ronnie sent you.
