Phallism is an anthropological term applied to that form of worship in which adoration is paid to the generative function symbolized by the phallus (or penis), the male organ, from the Greek phallus. The aim of the worship was to increase the tribe, flocks, the herds and the crops. The same principal, we are told, is at the root of the nature of worship in Asia Minor, whose chief deity and great Mother of the Gods is the personification of the earths fertility.

Because the phallus was so respected for it's procreative powers, its sacredness, its beauty and mystery, the citizens of Greece, Rome, Peru, India and Egypt modeled figurines, vases, lamps, pots and even loaves of bread with the phallic emphasis.

The worship of sex started as a pleasurable concept. Once it was thoroughly realized where lay the responsibility fir the pleasurable nature of the sex act, it was perfectly natural that the organs concerned in this sensation should be treated with the greatest respect and adoration. This respect and adoration for the external genitalia of man was extended to that of the external genitalia for the Gods

The ancients not only worshipped the phallus to the point of erecting it over temples, along the highways, depicting it in their painting. Literature, sacrificial rites, festivals, religious activities and sexual initiations, they also worshipped the phallus for its beauty and splendor during intercourse and or oral eroticism.

They were very active participants in fellatio, oral intercourse on the male phallus effected by introducing the penis into the mouth and sucking on the organ while moving the head up and down to emulate copulation, and continuing to the point of orgasm. Fellatio was considered a perversion by the ancients
when performed heterosexually, even among married couples and in this day is still punishable by law in some jurisdictions as an "unnatural" sex act between a male and female, married or single. Of course homosexual practice of fellatio during the ancient periods was more readily accepted by the citizens of the various countries than heterosexual fellatio.

It is a general rule that the penis grows to its final size during puberty. Length and circumference do not depend on the size of the body. However, a small penis may give rise to feelings of inferiority, and bragging about the size of a large penis, along with the need for making comparisons and similar tendencies are sighs of overcompensation. Since virility is a part of the masculine ideal, such boasting is frequent. It should be understood that size has no bearing on the partner's pleasure except when the sex organ is too large or too small for the sex organ of the mate.

The penis is the most discussed, the most lied about, and the most exaggerated part of the male anatomy. Likewise, and understandable so, the penis is little understood, and the slang terms used to identify the penis are innumerable.

The penis in short is a man's best friend. It comes in many different shapes and sizes and the only person it has to please is you.
