Jenn Tyburczy, a PhD candidate in the Department of Performance Studies at Northwestern University will present Toward a Kinky Museum. What could it mean to collect and exhibit alternative sexual histories? What could it mean for public history projects? For queer sexual politics? She will discuss what the LA&M collects and why as a way of asking more questions about collecting sexual history, the queer political moment, and the space of the museum as a site of remembering. What direction do we see the women's leather community going and how are you involved.
