There is a lot of great
DVD's being released for the summer and I am grateful that I
have a chance to let you know about just a few of them. I had a chance to watch
TransAmerica, and not only was it
a brilliant movie but the intertwined story lines kept you glued
to the edge of your seat!

2005, one of the most important and successful years ever for
high-profile LGBT-themed movies, critically-acclaimed Transamerica,
an unlikely family dramedy about the relationship between a pre-op
transsexual and her hustler, drug-addicted son, was one of the
films that brought LGBT characters and issues to the forefront
of the national consciousness. The film stars
Felicity Huffman in the most extraordinary role of her career.
The Emmy
Award® winner ("Desperate Housewives") won a Golden
Globe® for Best Actress in a Drama and was nominated for an Academy Award® for her portrayal of
Bree, a male to female transsexual about to take the final step
in her transformation while at the same time playing new mother
to the son she never knew she had. The soundtrack features the
Academy Award®
and Golden Globe® nominated song "Travelin' Thru," sung by Dolly Parton.

Another great
DVD was Gay Sex in the 70's. Hailed by critics and 
audiences
alike, GAY SEX IN THE 70s director Joseph Lovett focuses his
story on New York City between 1969 and 1981, using amazing interviews
with the men who lived it and stunning archival footage to take
viewers back in time. Lovett takes us back to the piers, the
trucks, the Central Park rambles, the back rooms, and the baths.
It was a time where repression and fear were replaced by a sexual
explosion, where shame became joy. It was the end of an era
and the 
beginning of a movement.
Lovett interviews such luminaries from the scene as Larry Kramer
and Tom Bianchi, as well as a wide range of men exploring their
freedom at the time. For the first time, gay men were combining their
public and private lives-sex, work, life, and more-incorporating
their dreams of the future with their innermost fantasies and
desires.

of the pack, as a DJ,
label owner, producer, remixer and artist. With a career that boasts numerous
magazine covers, chart topping singles, sold out DJ gigs and
collaborations with such A-list artists as Radiohead and Trent
Reznor, Philly-bred Josh wink has grown into one of the worlds
most revered and respected electronic music artists. His new
