Just To Let You
Know I was
arrested! Contrary to my nickname St. George, I'm not always
a saint. My Halo is sometimes obscured by tarnish that even a
skilled silversmith is challenged to polish clean. As a party
scenester, it's pure luck that my past of nightlife debaucheries
has never landed me in jail.
In twisted fate,
I was arrested with my fashionably clothed models at a photo
shoot. Absent any "No Trespassing" signs, the industrial
location of the photo session was considered off limits.
Finding my criminal
background check was clean, the arresting officer joked "You're
getting your cherry popped today!"
I playfully responded
to Mr. Policeman, "After years of delinquent behavior you
NOW decide to arrest me for simply taking photos on the train
tracks?!"
My models glared
at me, their designs set on manslaughter for my choosing the
photo location that had us charged with a misdemeanor. Looking
at my models hair, flawlessly coiffed for the photo shoot, it
wasn't wise of me to say "Well at least our mug shots will
look FABULOUS!"
Wednesday,
March 11th: George St. George Slays It All!
I am interviewed by Fausto Fernos and Marc Felion on "Feast
of Fun", the Worlds #1 GLTB Podcast. FOF gave daring insight
to my 10+ years as a Nightlife photojournalist, focusing on historic
scandals behind the celebrities and events I photographed.
We chatted about
the 90s high profile murders of real estate mogul Lee Miglin
and Versace, both killed by Andrew Cunanan, and Manhattan's infamous
party Clubkid Michael Alig murdering his drug dealer Angel, as
recounted in James St. James' memoirs Disco Bloodbath and the
movie Party Monster starring Macaulay Culkin.

Fun podcast can be downloaded on iTunes or by visiting their

Tuesday, March
17th: The Zoo
(3369 N. Clark St.)
J-Flo invited me to "Zoo-manity Tuesdays," a gathering
as fabulous as any in Boystown. Styled as a New York lounge in
Wrigleyville, featuring a bar, lounge and a dancefloor, The Zoo
is trendsetting, creating a unique, stylish soiree amongst the
myriad of sports bars in the area.
The Zoo is a
watering hole for every variety of nightlife animal. Wednesdays
features a Hip-Hop crowd, "Organic Thursdays" presents
a High Energy mix with DJ Veritas, Fridays vibrates with Alternative
Rock and Saturday showcases House music starring DJ Lego the
first Saturday of each month.
Wednesday, March
18th:
Stardust @ Berlin
Bar presented Cut Copy: an amazing DJ set after their Sold Out
show at The Vic Theatre with Aussie DJ Knightlife & Daisy
O'Dell from L.A. Cut Copy is an Electronica band from Australia.
Their sound is very New Order-esque as their 2008 album "In
Ghost Colours" experiments with machines of the past and
sounds of the future. The musical style of this talented troupe
inhabits the kind of space in time where trends are irrelevant
and music traverses genres. Both electronic and organic, Cut
Copy filled the multicultural Berlin bar with glorious sounds
and moods that unashamedly pops with melodies for eons.
