This Bad Boy from Leaman, PA has an innate flair for design and a mouth like a sailor. His designs were meticulous and whimsical. His every intent was to compete and leave the drama to the other cast members. I am thrilled that I had the opportunity to talk to Jay, a small town homo with a great talent. Here is what he had to say.

Project Runway; what did you initially think about the series?
There was no prior knowledge of the show, so I thought it would be decent and I was surprised that it turned it out. Project Runway was created by the same producers that did Project Greenlight and Last Comic Standing

What didn't we see?
There was a lot of vulgarity and goofing off and everyone was horny and talking about sex. We are all in a hotel room and we just get a bit crazy

It was the week before the final episode of Project Runway, Cara Saun, Jay McCarroll and Wendy Pepper were the three finalists, preparing their collection to be shown in New York during Fashion Week. The winner will receive an internship with "Banana Republic", a photo spread in Elle Magazine and $100,000.000 to start their own label. Little did I know that I was talking to the winner of the highest rated reality show on the Bravo Network.

How long have you been a designer?
Since birth, I started around age 8 I started diddling with yarn and started making my own clothes in high school make costumes for myself and danced in the front yard while the high school band played in the background.

Where do you see fashion going for spring 2005?
It's all about combining things, and get rid of Izod and tee shirts with funny sayings. The biggest thing is burn your Abercrombie and Hollister clothes you fucking fudge packers! If you want to wear a unicorn shirt, wear it. Wear a label but it doesn't have to be branded on the front of the shirt.

What do you want our readers to know?
Be yourself it's so much fucking easier! At the end of the day we all know who we are. A lot of gay people think they need to be a certain way to be accepted, but people will like you for who you are if you are just yourself. Don't be clones; accept everyone, when you see "Celebrate Diversity" you actually need to do it. There are enough people hating us we don't need to hate each other.
