This Weekend's
Highlights
Circuit Nightclub
will be a busy place this weekend. First off there's "Urbano"
on Friday, March 28 with its hip-hop dance party with DJ Anton
and the sexy Urbano Dancers. The next night, March 29, brings
back the monthly "Nitro Party" with legendary DJ Junior
Vasquez (NYC). "Under The Seas" is the theme with décor
by Visuwil and performances by Cyon Flare and Eddie Couture.
Finally on Sunday, March 30, "Noche Latina" takes over
with DJs Fast Freddy and Alex Perez and hostess Veronica Zaid.
If dancing at
Circuit doesn't interest you, then the various grooves and fun
boys of all stripes at Charlie's might be what the doctor ordered. Country, 2-step,
and line dancing happens early in the evening followed by DJ
Lulu's hi-nrg after-hours flair. In the heart of Boystown, Hydrate show some love to local
DJs Ron G on Friday, March 28 and Brett Locasio on Saturday,
March 29. Further south on Belmont, Berlin has one of Chicago' favorites, DJ Greg Haus, spinning
"Cosmix" on Fridays. And don't miss the purple fun
had monthly at "Prince Night" on Sunday, March 30.
Next Weekend's
Big Event
Flesh Hungry Dog
celebrates its third anniversary on Friday, April 4 at Jackhammer @ 9pm. The monthly queer,
alternative, rock 'n' burlesque cabaret features testosterone
driven rock marvels Jinx Titanic in their farewell performance,
The Joans (giving Joan Crawford the rock and roll voice she deserves!),
the velvety casino sounds of Bric-a-Brac and the scandalous Fleshtones
Burlesque. There will be free t-shirts for the first 50 guests.
Monday Night
Spectacular
We told you last time that Mondays were going to be a bonanza
to club-goers and house-heads in town and boy were we right.
Upcoming on Monday, March 31, the long-running "Boom Boom
Room" @ Green
Dolphin Street
brings Mark Grant and Lego in a guest DJs to join residents Michael
Serafini, Diz, JustJoey & Uncle Milty. Over at the new "Monday
Social: Beats + Bass + Rhythm" party at Vision Nightclub, the legendary Danny Krivit makes a
rare appearance in Chicago to tantalize all with his signature
house sound.
Before you head off for late night dancing on Mondays, be sure
to start off at Morgan's
(1325 S.
Halsted) for their "Service Industry Networking Night."
This new party features very attractive drink specials, half-price
pizza, and the music of DJ KT.
Towel Service:
More & Less
Steamworks,
the full-service all-male club, gym, and sauna, features a "Lights
Out" party every Thursday night and an after-hours setting
with DJ Dick on Friday and Saturday nights. The all-nude stripper
shows at Man's

Andersonville's entry in the bath house market, features the
all-nude stripper shows by the men of Sarabia, including Peter,
Paris, Ricky Sinz and Blake on Friday, March 28 and Martin, Geno,
Dustin and Javier on Saturday March 29.
Strippers in
thongs are aplenty at @mosphere, especially on Friday and Saturday nights with
DJs Eric Hall and Timmy Loop, respectively. Meanwhile down in
Boystown @ Lucky
Horseshoe,
strippers perform seven days a week strutting their stuff on
the bars. Lots of visible male flesh is a 5 nights a week occurrence
at Cocktail with the Span Go-Go
Boys. House music is the soundtrack for the dancers with DJs
Dhanna (Saturdays), Pete Augusta (Sundays), Michael Serafini
(Tuesdays), Timmy Loop (Thursdays) and Freddie Bain (Fridays).
It's a bit more amateurish but just as fun every Friday night
as Spin hosts a "Shower
Contest" for those willing to strip down to their skivvies.
DJ Chris Eterno supplies the sexy beats.
Epicenter
The center of Boystown nightlife is at the corner Halsted and
Roscoe and one of the institutions, Roscoe's, celebrates its 21st anniversary with
a fabulous soiree on Monday, April 7. A week earlier on Tuesday,
April 1, Victoria LePaige will be a guest for for "Drag
Race 2008" hosted by Frida Lay, and of course every Sunday
there's "Male Call" w/ Miss Foozie. Across the street,
the video bar Sidetrack
packs them
in nightly with a potent combination of slushy drinks and a wide
variety of handsome men. Popular nights include "Showtunes"
on Mondays, "Comedy" on Thursdays, "Energy Video"
on Friday and Saturdays. If you prefer a DJ instead of a VJ,
then Minibar is the place to be:
DJ Oskar is on board for Fridays while Phil Da Beatz handles
Saturdays and Chris Eterno rounds out the weekend on Sundays.
Suburban Sprawl
Dancing out in the northwest suburbs is best done @ Hunters with DJs Laura B for Saturday's "Ascent"
and Ron G for Wednesday's "MWM." Also be sure to catch
Lawrence K spinning videos all night on Fridays. On the opposite
side of the Chicagoland area, Club Krave has DJs Rockin' RC and Pervy on Fridays and Saturdays,
respectively.
What's Happening!
- Que Pasa?
When it comes to urban flair, the "Xotik" crowd will
be getting down on Saturdays @ Tokyo 21 with DJ Anton busting out R&B, hip-hop, and
house. In Boystown, the rphat beats get played at at @ Spin for the "Ear-Rotic" parties
with DJ Stoney on Saturdays, March 29 & April 5.
Weekly Latin

on Thursdays and Sundays, and Jackhammer on Sundays. And then
on Fridays and Saturdays out in the southwest suburbs there's
yet another "Boom Boom Room" (not affiliated with those
previously mentioned) @ La Quinta de los Reyes (6739 W. Ogden Ave. in Berwyn).
Where We Gather
The lovers of leather hang out nightly at the Chicago Eagle and Cell Block while Touché
hosts a "Hardcore
Leather Night" on Tuesdays. A fun manly crowd takes up
shop at places such as Buck's
and Little
Jim's in
Boystown, Granville
Anvil on
the far north side, and Manhandler in Lincoln Park. When it comes to general crowds
where you are apt to see everyone, tops on the list are Big Chicks (dancing on Fridays
and Saturdays) and Crew ("Man The Mic Karaoke" on Tuesdays)
in Uptown, Mary's
Attic (DJs
Shoshonna on Fridays & Plez on Saturdays) in Andersonville,
Scot's in the Ravenswood neighborhood,

End and Bobby Loves in Boystown.
On the cabaret music front, Gentry On State has been delighting downtown patrons for years
while other crowded outposts include Davenport's in Wicker Park, 3160 in Lakeview and Cornelia's in the heart of Boystown.
