Well I know that a lot of you remember the classic "9 to 5" Starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton and Dabney Coleman. But did you realize that it was released 25 years ago? Well, it was. This DVD includes commentary with the cast, deleted scenes, a hilarious gag reel and "Nine to Five" Karaoke and more! This is a great gift even if it is for you!
Another DVD set to debut on April 4th is Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
release of "Thank God it's Friday" featuring the Commodores and Oscar7 Award winners Paul Jabara and Alec Costadinos Best Song for "Last Dance" sung by the Disco Queen herself, Donna Summer. This movie is uproariously funny and makes the fashion and technology of the late 70's look like antiques. I laughed when I saw an 8 track tape player, leisure suits big fruity cocktails for $2.50 and no car alarms. This DVD will be a collectable so for $14.95 SLP it truly is a treat and a flashback to the good old days..so I'm told.
On the music front, Australian singer, Sia has a new album available on Astralwerks label. This album entitled "Colour the Small One" is the latest one since her debut in 2000, though she lended her vocals to two tracks on "Zero 7's" Simple things CD. One of the songs on her latest album called "Breath Me" was recently featured in the series finale of "Six Feet Under" which became an unforgettable moment to those who watched, surging the sales of the series soundtrack the following day. I am a big fan of Six Feet Under and have heard a lot of great music from that series. This CD is great for a dinner party or jut to kick back to.
