For all you iPodders and iTuners who love dance music, the RCA Music Group recently announced a new dance music series presenting both reissues of out-of-print classics and previously unreleased remixes of contemporary hits from artists on RCA, Arista and J Records. The artists range from such current stars as Kelly Clarkson and Heather Headley to 1970s and 1980s hit makers like Machine and Odyssey. The first offerings ­ including the classics "I'll Be Your Friend" by Robert Owens, "Where Love Lives" by Alison Limerick, and "Here We Go Again" by Aretha Franklin - are available exclusively through iTunes until late April. The series will then be made available through additional subscription services such as RealNetworks' Rhapsody and Sony Connect. This is just the news that many of you have been waiting for. Enjoy!

Mixed Compilations by Two Masters
Second Sign ­ mixed by Carl Cox (Koch Records)
The master is back at it again and this new continuous mix, which contains 15 original Carl Cox songs produced in conjunction with the likes Fatboy Slim, Josh Wink, Mistress Barbara and Kevin Saunderson, is quite simply PHENOMENAL! The constant driving energy of this CD is an electronica tour de force with funky house rhythms and even a touch of drum & bass mixed in amongst signature Carl Cox techno tracks. Don't sleep on this one.

I Love New York ­ mixed by Peter Rauhofer (Star 69)
This new mixed 2-CD set, which follows Rauhofer's very successful Live @ Roxy series, has an interestingly edgy sound that you currently find throughout Gotham: a full-bodied and deliberate progressive house vibe with large doses of tribal beats and electro-acid synth melodies. Far from being a mix for the masses containing common denominator musical fare, I Love New York is serious dance music for a sophisticated electronica ear.

"You Want Me" ­ Chantal Chamandy (Ninemuse Entertainment)
After much success on the British charts, this vocal dance track, remixed by Norty Cotto, has made a recent splash on this side of the Atlantic. Ms. Chamandy is an intriguing artist - she was born in Egypt and speaks five languages ­ with a captivating voice that will soon be furthered showcase on her upcoming album. "You Want Me" will help build excited anticipation for that release.

"Tony The Beat" ­ The Sounds (New Line Records)
A punk attitude, pop music savvy, and lots of touring ­ the Warped Tour and with the Foo Fighters and the Strokes ­ has enabled Swedish rockers The Sounds to successfully build a growing fan base here in the U.S. and around the world. With the plunky Tommie Sunshine dance remixes of "Tony The Beat" - perfect to be played at more alternative dance venues like Big Chicks on a Saturday night ­ their poised to gain evem more admirers.

If you like the vocal stylings that Kevin Aviance and Alan T. are famous for providing to dance tracks that excite and energize a dance floor, then this will be right up your alley. Inspired by the characters and personalities that populate the world of high fashion, this is a fun and infectious track in its original form and with excellent remixes to suit various tastes: a Bailey Electro House mix; a Castelli Tribal mix; and a Terranova Circuit mix.
