Oh Sheeat ___ get ready to sweat, children. Manny Lehman has just released his Tommy Boy debut mix compilation "Bangin' 2 Progressive Beats".
Similar to his live shows, Lehman wastes no time getting this party started. The cd is a 15 track, high octane, body slammin' romp featuring remixes of power house club smashes by Kristine W ("Fly Again" and "Save My Soul"), The Roc. Project featuring Tina Novak ("Déjà Vu"), Murk ("Believe" and "Time"), Superchumbo ("This Beat Is") and Beat Hustlerz ("Just About Have Enough"), among others. Club afficionados are in for a treat as Lehman's trademark sound of aggressive vocals, pulsating drums and hard tribal beats -resonate throughout the entire 75 minute set. Productions and mixes on the disc come by way of heavy hitters including Victor Calderone, The Scumfrog, Garbrial & Dresden, Chris Cox and Guido Osorio.
"Bangin' (Progressive Beats)" is Manny Lehman's first official mixed compilation in three years and without a doubt, the most exciting and energetic disc he has done to date. The cd proves why Manny remains one of the most sought after DJs on both the US Circuit and International scenes. In support of the release of "Bangin' (Progressive Beats)", Manny Lehman will embark on a world-wide tour, with special DJ appearances in New York, Miami, Boston, DC, Chicago, Orlando, Las Vegas, Houston, Phoenix, Toronto, Montreal, London and Tel Aviv, Israel. Manny will also headline "Carnival" in Rio, "Mardi Gras" in Sydney, and NYC's upcoming Pride Weekend "Freedom Party NYC".

"Bangin' 2 Progressive Beats" sure gets the booty shakin'. How do you describe your sound?
Divas and drums. That's my favorite thing. I love a song, I love a diva and I love a phat track. I balance them all together.

Was creating this disc more of a challenge than your previous releases?
Trying to condense a night into 70 minutes is always a challenge but I had some great music to choose from: Kristine W, Murk and lots more. I'm really happy with it. Like you said, the cd gets people moving. It's perfect for the gym, or for the car...

Hell, it's just perfect! You've conquered DJing, remixing, producing. What's next for Manny Lehman?
I just started an artist development company. We're looking for the next generation of pop, R&B, and dance artists. I'm taking a managerial, behind-the-scenes role. I love watching the process, finding an artist and helping them become a star. It's an unbelievable feeling to be a part of making someone's dream come true.

I'm sure. That must be amazing. One last question: How do you feel about the whole gay marriage issue?
I can't believe we live in a country where the President wants to amend the Constitution to deny gays our equal rights! It's

insane! I actually just signed on to headline Gay Pride's Freedom Party NYC in New York on June 26. I'm so excited to be a part of it. Not only because it's the first Saturday afternoon outdoor pride dance on Pier 62 but more importantly, because of what the party stands for. Gays have come a long way in the past year: We have Ellen [Degeneres] on daytime TV, Melissa Ethridge, The L Word on Showtime and we have cities publicly recognizing our relationships. Freedom Party NYC will be a celebration of our accomplishments and the progress we have made. Plus, there will be plenty of hot boys and girls dancing under the sun, sweating their asses off. I hope to see all the Chicago hotties there!
