The highlight
of this weekend is without a doubt "Chicago Takes Off" on Saturday, March 7
@ Park
West (322
W Armitage Ave.). This annual burlesque revue-style presentation
will feature Miss Coco Peru and a cast of talented dancers strutting
their stuff in support of TPAN at two shows (7:30pm & 10pm).

Back around for
it's monthly showcase is the The Flesh Hungry Dog Show @ Jackhammer on Friday, March 6,
with "Zombie-A-Go-Go!," a co-presentation
with The Chicago Horror Society. It will feature zombie themed
live music sets by Loto Ball Show, The Balkaners, and Yesterday's
Lies; special guest performers from Ms Bea Haven; an appearance
by Rich Experience; DJ Sky; and host Gary Airedale. Show starts
at 9pm; tickets are $8 (@ door or online at www.fleshhungrydog.com);
and all attendees are invited to dress in zombie garb.
Club events of
note this weekend include "Lube Wrestling" w/ DJ Jeanette @ Hydrate on Friday, March 6. The following night on Saturday,
March 7, Tracy Young takes over the Hydrate DJ booth while Jody Wisternoff delights a more
mainstream crowd downtown @ Vision. The legendary Crobar Nightclub celebrates its anniversary this weekend
with Robbie Rivera serving up his hard-hitting beats on Satureday.

Chicago's own DJs Cajmere (aka Green Velvet), Gene Farris, and
Frank Solano on March 12. Dajae will also be on hand for a special

Clubhouse Productions monthly hip-hop "UBU" after-hours party starting @ 1am. Also

Chicago is
the home of house music and the premier weekly house event in
the city is "Boom
Boom Room" @ Green Dolphin Street w/ resident DJs Michael Serafini, Diz, JustJoey
& Uncle Milty and a slew of hosts that includes JoJo, Sal-E,
Chi Town Ronnie, and Byrd Bardot. DJ Ralphi Rosario makes a
guest appearance on March 9.
THE place to
hear house music in Boystown throughout the week is Cocktail, featuring its newly unveiled "Super Saver
Sundays" with
$1 well-drinks, Pate tending bar early (1pm-8pm) and DJ Pete
Augusta spinning late (9pm-2am). In addition to the sexy go-go
boys 5 nights a week, the DJ line-up includes Michael Serafini
(Tuesdays); Timmy Loop (Thursdays); Freddie Bain (Fridays); Diva

nothing to the imagination every Friday and Saturday night @
midnight. The Boystown bathhouse option, Steamworks, features a "Lights Out" party every Thursday
night, an after-hours setting w/ DJ Dick on Friday, Saturday

hip-hop, reggaeton, and house. Every Sunday night, the same
urban musical blend gets served up during DJ Stoney's "Ear-Rotic" @ Mix Niteclub.

Halsted
Up in Andersonville
you'll find the Chicago
Eagle leather
bar as well as neighborhood outpost SoFo. You'll also find the martini bar Marty's and the always fun Mary's Attic w/ Rogue DJ for "Feel Good Fridays" and Karaoke on Sundays
and Wednesdays. Further north, the fetish community finds a
home at Touché with "Hardcore Leather Cruisin' Night" on Tuesdays. Even further
north in Rogers Park is the relatively new bar, The Glenwood.
The Uptown/Edgewater neighborhood is home to Granville Anvil; Big Chicks (and its popular free buffet on Sundays) and the
sports bar Crew ("Karaoke Night" on Tuesdays).
Scot's is a friendly gathering
spot in the Ravenswood neighborhood while Manhandler sits as a gay oasis in the heart of
Lincoln Park. Downtown, Second Story Bar serves office workers and shoppers alike
while Davenport's piano bar entertains over in Wicker Park.
The young, fun LGBTIQ crowd will be at the monthly "Chances Dances" party at Subterranean on Monday, March 16.
