In doing research for this article I tried to find out if there was a scientific study that supported the fact that there were certain health benefits to eating at restaurants that prominently featured music as part of the dining experience. I found no such scientific study; but I'm not going to let that stop me from encouraging you all to eat at restaurants that feature music. Thus, here's a sample of places where you might want to go in order to receive certain benefits I really can't vouch for.

Cornelia's Restaurant 750 W Cornelia Ave | 773.248.8333 | www.ilovecornelias.com
A certified Boystown institution, this cozy restaurant serves Mediterranean influenced food that's always fresh and delicious. Cornelia's is also known for its infused vodkas and nightly presentation of live music featuring the likes of Kathryn Payne, Paul Marino, and Ginger Tam.

Uncommon Ground (Lakeview) 3800 N Clark St | 773.929.3680 |
Uncommon Ground (Rogers Park) 1401 W Devon Ave | 773.465.9801
www.uncommonground.com

Both locations feature sophisticated American bistro cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal, regional, and organic ingredients. And while open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, it's dinner time and the nightly live musical offerings that make Uncommon Ground uncommon. For those who think they have what it takes, Open Mic Night takes place on Mondays at the Clark Street location and on Tuesdays up on Devon Street.

Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club 3700 N Halsted St | 773.525.1111
www.kitkatchicago.com

Not every musical dining experience needs to have real live singers, and so a place like Kit Kat with its line-up of female impersonators, impressive menu offerings, and tasty cocktails makes for the perfect night out.

Moonshine 1824 W Division St | 773.862.8686 | www.moonshinechicago.com
One of the most popular eateries in Wicker Park, Moonshine is a casual dining restaurant that often finds its patrons hanging around drinking and socializing long after the dinner plates have been cleared away. Most nights have a live DJ adding to the vibe and energy of the place, which has become a favorite gathering spot for both nearby residents and folks coming from other parts of the city.

Morseland 1218 W Morse Ave | 773.764.8900 | www.morseland.com
Known for their "good eats & nice beats," this comfortable low-key Rogers Park restaurant draws a diverse crowd. The basic menu has distinctive Creole and New Orleans influences while the bar serves up several signature cocktails that include Caipirinhas, Mojitos, and Mai Tais. Music on a nightly basis includes both live acts and DJs with varied musical styles that include house, rock, Latin, hip-hop, and jazz.

Halsted's Bar & Grill 3441 N. Halsted St | 773. 348.9696 | www.halstedschicago.com
This newest addition to the Boystown restaurant line-up features "kicked-up" bar food, an impressive beverage menu filled with plentiful beer and specialty cocktail offerings, and the only video music jukebox in Lakeview. Patrons determine the musical and video accompaniments to their meals. Kind of like all requests all the time.
