 When
you're at a really posh spa, you feel very removed from the world
and, if you're anything like we are, you eventually begin to
feel so relaxed that you wish that you never had to return to
the real world. In New York, the Arizona-based Miraval spa will
be opening a new complex where you actually don't have to leave.
Located at 515 East 72nd Street the project is called Miraval
Living and it is the company's first "spadominium,"
a condo complex where spa-living is a way of life. And for a
spa, it's actually a rather intense experience. Each resident
will receive a "custom regimen from the hundreds of offered
services, from sex therapy to massages to pilates.
Future "spadomiums"
are planned in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and
Washington.
There is nothing like an amazingly beautiful pool to coax even
the most reluctant vacationers to don their speedos and slide
into the water. Fortunately, we are the lucky ones to have the
job of picking out the world's best swimming pools, so you don't

Hong Kong's three luxurious pools, including one of the largest
outdoor pools - feng shui-inspired, no less!

that plunges into the ocean and many "private pool suites."
The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas has a massive beach-themed
pool with a swim-up blackjack area and bar at the center.
 I have always used
the occasional left over Belgian brew to wash my hair with the
next morning (try it out, it leaves your hair silky and clean),
but I don't know why it never struck me to bathe in beer. Over
the past 10 years, beer spas have popped up in Austria, Germany,
and the Czech Republic. At these beer spas, every sense is enveloped
in beer; the bubbly sticky liquid on your skin, the hops in the
air, to the beer in your mug. You can also try the brewski facial:
an über gooey face mask made from ground hops, malt, honey
and cream cheese. These half hour bath treatments start at about
$55.
