What prompted the name change from Captain Dix to Rainbow Valley?
Rainbow Valley Resort is more fitting of the area , Captain Dix is still the name of the bar and the dinning room is now " THE ARTIST GLEN DINNING ROOM". In the future the Game Room Bar (country and western) will open.
What kinds of rooms do you offer your guests?
The resort has 10 buildings all named of these 5 are whirlpool cabins, 2 are deluxe - duplex cabins, and 2 have 10 standard rooms. Also the resort has out side sports areas including outdoor swimming pool, volley ball court, horse shoe pit, table tennis, shuttle board, basketball/tennis court , private sunbathing area, Cruz creek, unions water fall, hiking trails, hunting areas, and open play grounds.
What type of cuisine does your restaurant offer?
New Orleans Creole and 5 star American steaks and sea food. nightly specials such as marinated prime rib, Nile perch, crab linguini and Mediterranean scampi, to name a few of the specials.
What types of events are happening at Rainbow Valley?
Sundays, we have karaoke, Monday movie, Tuesday ladies night, Wednesday dart / pool party, Thursday country dance, Friday dance and Saturday theme party.
