LGBT people looking for true love face unique hurdles: where to meet, how to woo, what are the rules? Love Lessons takes a sensitive look at three singles that have turned to a new breed of professionals same-sex matchmakers and dating coaches for help.

In this touching and insightful documentary, three gay men and women seek advice and potential partners with the help of professional matchmakers. Perry is a 34 year old, HIV+ gay man who only feels comfortable dating other HIV+ men but hasn't had a serious date in two years. Rachel is 36 years old and tends to fall for the wrong women. Mark is a 37 year old ex-flight attendant who feels stuck at this point in his life. These single men and women will learn the dos and don'ts of dating and will put their new knowledge and insight to the test.

Along with the do's and don'ts of dating, all three singles are learning important lessons about themselves. Love Lessons is presented as part of Logo's Real Momentum documentary series that explores the diversity and unique true-life stories of the LGBT community across America.

Logo has selected a trio of new thought niche practitioners to work with the lovelorn cast. Relationships Coach, Jim Sullivan. Jim is an author, national advice columnist, mentor, dating and relationship coach and guide to the LGBT community for over 25 years, grew up in New York City and worked as a teacher, community activist and volunteer intake clinician during the height of the AIDS crisis.

In the early 90's Jim began presenting dating workshops for gay singles and since then has brought his message, "conscious dating is the foundation from which a committed and enduring partnership is built", to thousands of gay men throughout the United States. Jim holds masters degrees in counseling from New York University and in religious studies from Manhattan College.

Next is woman that gives herself a moniker that we can all relate to, Matchmaker, Robin Fox. Robin has been a matchmaker since 1988. During that time she has talked to and counseled over 10,000 men and women in their journey to find a soul mate.

Robin entered the field of matchmaking after she lost her mother to breast cancer in 1987. Being the spiritual person that she is, her dream was to create a legacy of love in her mother's memory; hence she named her organization Introductions by Sage, which is an acronym for very special people in Robin's life. The word Sage also means "wise experienced person" which many will say she is.

Next, we have Matchmaker, Rob Anderson. Rob was born and raised in NYC. He came out when he was seventeen. As a gay man in Manhattan, he knows the struggles that single gay guys go through searching and hoping to meet that special person. This was motivation to become more involved in his community. When the opportunity to work for Club Elite came along, he was excited. He loves the idea of bringing romance and the possibility of relationships to the lives of great guys. He also enjoys the social side of the business, going to all events about town, and meeting new matches for his clients! As a graduate of The Matchmaking Institute, he is one of the only two certified gay matchmakers in the world.
