On February 1st, 2005 Capitol Records will release the Ultimate Kylie double CD collection.
Ultimate Kylie is the only comprehensive collection of greatest hits from Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue, one of the world's top selling female artists. The set features 32 of her international hit singles from 1987 to the present day, and includes the new single "I Believe In You," which Kylie wrote and recorded with Jake Shears and Babydaddy from Scissor Sisters, plus one other previously unreleased track.
Since "The Loco-Motion" became her first #1 in Australia in 1987 and went on to become a massive hit in the U.S. and beyond, Kylie has been a continuing record breaker the world over. When her first UK single, "I Should Be So Lucky," hit #1 in 1988 it entered the record books as the first single in over 10 years to stay atop the British charts for five weeks. She's been breaking records ever since -- most recently with international smash "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and Grammy Award winning track "Come Into My World" from 2001's Fever album, and international hit "Slow" from this year's Body Language album, recently nominated as "Best Dance Recording" for the upcoming 47th annual Grammy Awards, all of which is contained on Ultimate Kylie.
The brand new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR returns to Chicago at Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre, 24 W. Randolph St., Tuesday, January 18 through Sunday, January 23, 2005. JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR stars Lawrence Clayton as "Judas" and Eric Kunze as "Jesus."
When JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR first exploded onto the West End stage in 1972, it was clear that the musical world would never be the same again. Almost thirty years later this astonishing musical is back as fresh and gripping as ever, proving that no musical since has been able to touch audiences with quite the same impact or emotional intensity. Acclaimed as a theatrical masterpiece at the time of its premiere, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR has since attained the status of theatrical legend. From his entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday through to his death at the hands of Pontius Pilate, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is an epic retelling of the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Telling the story of men and women driven to their fate by forces beyond their control, this unique musical is as powerful and compelling today as the day it was written.

THE SIRS OF SYNTH POP ARE BACK. ERASURE TO RELEASE NIGHTBIRD ON JANUARY 25!With an unmistakable sound and a musical legacy firmly established Erasure returns with their first studio album in seven years. Nightbird will be released on Mute Records on January 25.
Few techno pop groups have had a greater impact on the charts or dancefloor than Erasure. Selling over 25 million albums worldwide, Vince Clarke and Andy Bell have earned a reputation as innovators of modern dance music, beloved as much for their unforgettable remixes as their string of bouncy singles. To commemorate their 20th anniversary, Nightbird is simply back to business, bubbling with the classic Erasure sound that has influenced an entire generation of songwriters, producers, DJs and pop music fans worldwide.
At the core of Erasure's impressive history of chart topping hits, is the unlikely combination of Clarke's Icy synths and Bell's dramatic choir boy vocals. A founding member of Depeche Mode and Yaz, Clarke's credentials as an electronic pioneer are unmatched while Bell injected theatricality and warmth into a music genre that had previously been seen as cold and robotic. Nightbird proves just how far they have come without changing this impeccable sonic formula.
It's the perfect time for a new generation to taste who the forefathers of elegant electro are all about. Nightbird is an extraordinary record filled with prime arrangements and cleverly synthesized pop romance tracks. Erasure will release their brand new single "Breathe" on January 18, 2005 & plan to tour North America in support of the album in April 2005.
